Deadpool and Wolverine

A brief history of the duo's in the media

Finally, our wicked and foul-mouth characters Deadpool and Wolverine are getting their duo movie after so many years. The first time these two fought was in 1994, in Wolverine #88. In that issue, Deadpool destroyed a flat after he couldn't win his girlfriend back from Garrison Kane, her new partner. Since Kane was Wolverine's friend, this included Wolverine in the story. Wade and Logan exchanged verbal barbs until Wade used his two swords to stab Logan in the chest. And that established the pattern for Wolverine and Deadpool's relationship throughout Marvel Comics: insulting one another, slashing one another, getting back up, and repeating the cycle.

They have a rivalry, friendship, enemy, ally, buds, and many other relationships in Marvel comics. Yet, when we look at cinema history they don't have much of anything except Wolverine Origins. In Wolverine Origins, the 20th Century Fox tried a Deadpool initiative but they failed. I called it 'initiative' because the character wasn't even remotely close to the comic's Deadpool. His origin story was very different and he wasn't talking! Which is the best superpower Deadpool has. Deadpool is a schizophrenic character who speaks to his other personalities and the other heroes or side characters non-stop, and especially he consistently breaches the fourth wall, cracks jokes, and speaks to us, on the other hand, Wolverine Origins' Deadpool does the exact opposite. Even Ryan Raynolds who plays Deadpool in the movie made fun of him at the end of Deadpool 2.

So, Deadpool's success came after 2016 when the first movie of Deadpool came out. As it came out, it changed the perspective on superhero movies of that time because the movie came out as PG-15. Before Deadpool, superhero movies usually were only PG-13. With its unusual structure good script, and Ryan Reynold's great efforts it made a good debut and money at the box office.

When we look at Hugh Jackman's Wolverine we see great success from the beginning to the end. He played Wolverine brilliantly from the 2000s to 2017. Even though the 20th Century Fox's Wolverine wasn't a faithful copy of comics, it was a great character. In all the X-Men movies that have come out, he always attracted attention and became a famous character.

In conclusion when Deadpool finally got a good movie and became popular Hugh Jackman's Wolverine retired and this made the fans sad because we thought we couldn't see the big-cursed duo on the big screen together. But last year Ryan Reynolds came with a video about Deadpool 3 and we saw Hugh Jackmen. All fans turned crazy and it's been announced that Wolverine will be in the movie. Somehow Ryan Reynolds convinced Hugh Jackmen after six years to play Wolverine again. Then the posters came and the trailer came, and now this month we will be able to watch the famous duo we have been waiting for a long time on the big screen on 24 July. We are all hyped and bucked our belts to hit the road with the big-cursed duo in the Multiverse.
