McLaren is back to championship celebrations after 26 years

With Lando Norris triumphing over the Ferraris, McLaren harvests just enough points to become Constructors' Champions in 2024.

After a long and tiring Formula 1 season with 24 races completed, McLaren triumphed over Ferrari in the constructors' standings to win their first-ever constructors' championship in this decade.

Lando Norris pushed and dominated the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole, pacing faster than Carlos Sainz's Ferrari. Oscar Piastri had completed the front row for McLaren, ensuring a great haul of points for McLaren but was spun out in the first corner of the race in an unfortunate incident with Max Verstappen.

Lando Norris pushed as hard as he could and outscored both Ferraris, claiming the World Constructors' Championship for McLaren. Carlos Sainz finished 2nd and Charles Leclerc had a great race climbing from the back of the grid to 3rd place, although it wasn't enough for the championship. Oscar Piastri finished 10th and provided an extra point for McLaren.

A consistent first half and a strong second half of the season helped McLaren win the championship as the Papaya team returns to Woking as winners.
