Museums around the World: Prado
Another mesmerizing museum and the details of it.
One of the best museums worldwide is located in Madrid and that museum must be seen! With over 8000 great artworks and over 700 sculptures, it is super popular with people who like art. That museum opened its door to viewers in 1819 and since that time, more and more people have visited there every year.
In this museum, there are a lot of great artworks by successful artists such as Caravaggio, Francisco Goya, and Leonardo da Vinci... So, l want to give some details about the artworks and the artists here.
The first artist whom l want to look at is Caravaggio. In my other article, l mentioned him and he is such a great and realistic artist. His masterpiece which is called David with the Head of Goliath is exhibited in this museum. We can feel the realistic atmosphere when we look at this mesmerizing work.
The other artist is Francisco Goya, who is very well known in the Romantic period and is Spanish. He is famous for his portraits and most of his artworks are exhibited in the museum of Prado. A very well-known work he has in that museum is"The Fight at the Venta Nueva". So, when l search what Venta Nueva means, l see that means"new sale" so he described a fight in a new sale. The reason why they fought is unknown, yet there is something that can be understood from the chaotic atmosphere the painting has.
The last of the artists l want to mention is Leonardo da Vinci. He is a Renaissance artist. Most of us know him and his masterpieces such as Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man, and Salvator Mundi. So, some of his masterpieces are exhibited in the Prado Museum and l want to focus on his work which is called"The Virgin and Child with St Anne". So, in general, Vinci's works mostly are focused on religious topics, and this painting is also religiously based.
These all great works must be seen. I really wish to see them and visit this gorgeous museum in my lifetime. If you have any chance to make it, l highly recommend all people who love art to go to that museum.
