Must-Watch Fall Movies!

Four movies to get into the cozy vibes of autumn.

Grab your lattes and get in the cozy vibes of autumn because today we have the most must-watch autumnal movies to fall in love with this whimsical season once again.

When Harry Met Sally (1989)

For most of us picky romance lovers, autumn means When Harry Met Sally. Autumn means falling in love with the cinematography of the strees covered in the colors of fall, having long walks with your partner and reminiscing about the streets that you have never even walked. When Harry Met Sally is one of my favorite romances, and believe me, I am beyond picky when it comes to romantic movies. With long walks, long talks, and soul-to-soul connection, When Harry Met Sally reminds us that love comes in waves and love comes in colors. Ahhhh... I just love this movie so much.

You've Got Mail (1998)

You've Got Mail is for the autumn lovers wrapped in blankets holding their pumpkin spice lattes... Starring Mel Gibson and Tom Hanks, we have a seriously competitive love story of two close but distant characters who actually know each other in another realm. Clashing in business in the morning, falling for each other at night. What a story, huh? Autumn here is just whimsical, beautiful and mesmerizing.

Practical Magic (1998)

I know my girlfriend is a WITCHHHHHH! Small town charm, vibrant colors, and two sisters who have inherited a blessing that can turn anything upside down; so shall I say a blessing that is a curse inside? Yes. Perfect movie for chilly autumn nights, perfect movie for Halloween, and perfect movie for those who grew up thinking they would be a witch when they grow up.

Dead Poets Society (1989)

“…medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. but poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.”

Do I really need to tell you about this movie or shall we say that you have already watched it? It's one of those beautiful movies that stick with you by moving you deeply and emotionally. An inspiring teacher, Robin Williams's character reminds you to embrace life's fleeting moments and fill your heart with good poetry, and always remember to seize the day. As an autumn film, it mirrors the journey of students through the beauty of falling leaves, crisp air, and chilly nights together with friends reading poetry and appreciating literature. ps: If you haven't read the book, do read it.

“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”
