On the first day of the competitions, men’s doubles in tennis put on a great show. The first match of the first round featured Argentina versus Spain. Andrés Molteni and Maximo Gonzales represented Argentina, while Spain's tennis players were none other than Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. This matchup was long-awaited, as tennis fans were eager to watch Nadal and Alcaraz side by side. People were trying to find a nickname for this duo, and they settled on "Nadalcaraz".

It was magical to watch Nadal, the 14-time Roland Garros champion, and Alcaraz, the latest champion of Philippe Chatrier, playing doubles. With 26 Grand Slam victories between them, the Spaniards faced a challenging opening set in their debut match together, but they made the most of their singles court expertise to advance to the next round. They defeated a successful and experienced doubles team with a 7-6(4), 6-4 score.

In the second round, the duo faced the Dutch team of Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof in men’s doubles and rose to victory in a super tie-break. The overall score was 6-4, 6-7(2), 10-2 and even though the tie-break of the second set did not go as planned for the Spaniards, the super tie-break was quite a success. After the match, Alcaraz reflected on their performance and said "I'm really happy with the level that we played. I think we played much better than the first match. We are going to keep improving our doubles game, it's going to be better in the quarterfinals."

Unfortunately, in the quarterfinals, most people's favorite duo were beaten by the American double players Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. I should mention that the American team boasts five Grand Slam titles in doubles, which might explain why the remarkable individual careers of the Spaniards weren't enough in this particular match. It was sad to see that "Nadalcaraz" could not advance to the semifinals but their participation was still a dream come true for many.

This doubles team not only hyped Spanish people all around the world but also delighted tennis enthusiasts everywhere. Watching Nadal, a legend with 22 Grand Slam titles, paired with Alcaraz, a rising star, was truly captivating. Their synergy, combining Nadal's experience and Alcaraz's youthful energy, created an electrifying atmosphere. Their matches showcased the perfect blend of skill and passion, reminding us fans why we love tennis.
