The Warmest Summer Yet
Now is the time to talk and think more about global warming. The heat is now unbearable.
This summer, we all complained about how hot it was. Wherever we go, whatever we use - everything is just useless. They did not help with anything. And we could not help but say It is super hard, I cannot bear this anymore!
and more... We all know the reason, because we have been familiar with the term since our early ages.
According to NOAA's report, from January to June 2024, Earth's temperature was the warmest in 175 years.
Let's talk about the effects of global warming:
- Rising sea levels: As the sea levels rise, the danger increases for those who live on the land. For example, Florida may go underwater.
- Agriculture: As the weather changes exaggeratedly, it becomes harder to keep plants healthy. The plants get affected a lot. Sometimes, it rains cats and dogs; later, the weather is sunny! In Turkey, we rely on the Agean and Mediterranean regions. But they face extreme weather conditions, and corpses get harmed.
- Animals: Habitats get harmed because of global warming. This causes animals to go extinct. I think we all know that polar bears are in danger of losing their habitat and going extinct because the Arctic is getting warmer.
- Health: As the air gets polluted more and more, it becomes more dangerous! This polluted air can cause many allergies. It can cause asthma. The worst part is that it can create infections, and these infections can spread all around! In Beijing, where the air pollution is high, higher rates of asthma are linked to pollution.
- Weather: The weather will be more extreme than ever! For example, summers are always super sunny in my city. But this summer, there were thunderstorms. And, after that, it was sunny, so we went out for a swim.
- Indigenous: There are some people who rely on what's local. These people stay alive because they only produce and consume natural stuff. With the increasing effects of global warming, the things they consume do not last long or are not that healthy. Like Inuit people in the Arctic.
I know many of you already knew about global warming, but there is no harm in remembering it once in a while. We do not have control over many things. And many big companies, buildings, and the rich in the world do not care about global warming. But we should still do what we can.
If we want to create a world where our sisters, brothers, and kids can actually live, we should be careful. We should use that paper straw and not complain about it. We should think twice before buying plastic.
If the rich are not uncomfortable with global warming, and they are wreckless, it should not mean anything. We can be better than them!
I hope this blog helped you think. Thank you so much for spending your time on my blog! I hope to see you again. Bye!
