The very last name on the list of me introducing my favorite artists to you is Olivia Rodrigo. I’m pretty sure that everyone knows her and has heard of her songs once in their lifetime because she has been fairly popular since 2021 after releasing her hit song Driver’s License.

Before diving into her discography, you should know that she has had an acting career before starting to take her route to being a musician. Due to her interest in music and acting, Olivia Rodrigo took both vocal lessons and acting lessons in her childhood. Her interest in songwriting peaked thanks to Lorde and Taylor Swift. And when she was only 12 years old, she could play not only the guitar but also the piano.

She started her acting career in 2015 with debuting in An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success. And the following year, she got a role in one of the Disney Channel projects and played the same role for the next three years. Additionally, in 2019, she got another role in a Disney+ show and got praised for her acting. However, she decided to focus on her music career and left the show.

In 2021, she debuted with her famous song Driver’s License and broke records. A few months later, she released another successful single titled Deja Vu and managed to get onto Billboard Hot 100 again. Another great song came a month later, Good 4 U was her next hit song. Then she released her debut album Sour a week later.

In 2022, she started Sour Tour. In the same year, she received seven Grammy nominations with three wins in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.

In the following year, in 2023, she released her second album Guts. The songs Vampire and Bad Idea Right? were the two most popular amongst the others. She then released a song called Can’t Catch Me Now for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes which won her an award.

In the beginning of 2024, Olivia Rodrigo started her second tour called Guts World Tour, which is still running till October 2024.
