CAUSES OF TERRORISM
Terrorism is something that is as old as human history. We may define terror as discrepancy but there is more than discrepancy; terrorism is trying to disrupt the order of a state with an existing plan and by unlawful means. Terrorism may change the economic order, disrupt the integrity of the state or weaken the state's power. Terrorists are more than a group. Furthermore for terrorism every way to reach the goal is legitimate. That is why the strategy of terror has changed with socio-economic structure.
One of the causes of terrorism is the social contradiction. Nobody has to live under the rules that they do not want to obey. People have right to say how they want to live as well. However, they cannot do this with an unlawful way. When people cannot get the result of their wants, they can resort the violence and in that step, we have terrorism. The most important element of terrorism is violence because they can get the result by the easiest way and announce their wishes to the public. Their wishes might be economic.Although it is not suitable for every state's condition, they may deny the current state and establish a new stateby imposing feelings from their background as Turkey experienced. Other factors that cause terrorism may also be the interests of other countries like economic interests. The oil crisis can be given as an example here. Some countries may not want to have role in their wishes or may not show themselves directly because of their status. That is why those countries can indirectly control a group with an unlawful way. They can send their guns, money or whatever they want. They do not even care about societies because to reach their goals is enough for them.
All in all, when we say terrorism, the first thing that comes to mind is violence. Causes of terrorism might be economic interests, social classification or hierarchy.
In today's world, they have used the social structure of communities as a tool and have provided financial resources.
