Forgetting Yourself

Forgetting yourself, and being aware that you are included in society being a social individual.

In the journey of self-discovery, we often face the idea that we need to define ourselves in labels and categories that society demands. This urge may be overwhelming as if our entire existence is based on these definitions. In the middle of tumults there is a question, do we really need to define “who we are?” Is our pure existence designed by our experiences or there is a deeper essence that defies definition? Perhaps, in the process of embracing ambiguity, we can find a sense of freedom from self-definition. The more we navigate the complexities of identity and self-expression, the more we find solace in the collective “we”.

I  understood that we as human beings, always trying to do something. There is always a process. We suffer, we get tired, and we become happy, satisfied, or sad. Or we feel betrayed. We say, yes, our suffering is what makes us, us. Do we really need that? Do we actually need to announce exactly who we are? We are always forced to make definitions, analyses, and specifications, if there is an ambiguity then suddenly an urge to be stressed starts to be created inside of ourselves. The definition of who we are and the placement of our personality/existence in society seems to us as enormous and kind of a burden that is hard to carry. Sometimes the rejection of I language seems more comfortable to me, I forget that I exist as long as I've been included in "we". Then I remember, I'm forgetting me.
