How Can We Solve The Generation Gap?

I am trying to explain the generation gap and bring some ways to deal with it.

It is true that humans’ thoughts and perceptions change sweeping generations. On account of this change, an issue called the generation gap, which refers to the differences in opinions between younger and older generations, has emerged. Unfortunately, every other day lack of communication between generations is aggravated whereas constructing bridges which can bind these generations is not so difficult.

Firstly, Encouraging different generations to spend time together is one antidote to the generation gap by forestalling the generation gap. Hanging out together brings about communication between the sides, enabling them to understand the attitude and norms each other. Mutual understanding provides these generations with stronger relationships and bonds between generations.

Secondly, respecting each other's boundaries is another remedy for the generation gap. Along with changing opinions, bounders and tolerances have been changing over the years. A notion that is very significant for the elderly, for instance, can become very trivial for subsequent generations or vice versa. In such situations, both sides ought to mutually maintain respect for their merits and try to empathize with the other generations.

Finally, the willingness to sort out an issue is always a first step to solve a problem and thus it is also a solution for eradicating the generation gap. Therefore, both young generations and ancestors need to attempt to tackle the generation gap. To form a common ground, the elders should be more involved in common hobbies of the young generation such as playing the Playstation, and the young need to do activities which might lead to forming common points with elders such as reading books.

In conclusion, even though the generation gap becomes more apparent the day after day, there are so many solutions for eradicating this problem. Spending more time with each other, respecting each other's limitations, and willingness to solve this problem are three useful solutions which we must adopt. Actually, this issue depends a bit on persons’ own and their attitudes. I believe that if an old person or a teenager is eager to communicate with each other, they can readily do it because no obstacles are not so rigid to overcome.
