New Science, New Culture

This is an article on the subject of "new science, new culture", with my perspective from the book and speeches of Türker Kılıç.

Until now, we have continued on the path of past scientists' laws, theories, and paradigms to advance the science we possess. However, we have reached a point where our current knowledge can no longer take us further. Therefore, in order to move forward from here, we see the need to progress by building upon existing knowledge with new methods.

Dr. Türker Kılıç, a neurosurgeon and scientist, emphasizes the need for a change in science, resources, and, most importantly, perspective. His talk titled "New Science: Connectivity and New Culture: Living Together ( the most similar to the word 'Yaşamdaşlık' in Turkish ) " provided me with a different perspective in many ways. I would like to briefly discuss this topic.

The new science, called "Connectivity," is essentially the connectivity wholeness that is overlaid on the deductive reasoning that accepts hypotheses after proposing them and testing their accuracy through experimental methods. Connectivity wholeness differs fundamentally from both deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning, as it focuses on the relationship or connectivity between the parts, not the parts themselves. In deductive and inductive reasoning, the fundamental element that has been considered so far is the building block that constitutes it. For example, in the current science that shapes our day, the building block of the physical universe is the atom, the building block of the biological universe is the cell, and the building block of our society is humans. However, for the connectivity wholeness method, which is crucial for advancing and going further today, the fundamental element is information at the basis of all whole-part relationships.

Life arises through the processing of unique information related to the coding form of the set of formations (the connections between the parts of life). In other words, connectivity wholeness takes information as its building block. Understanding and approaching this with that perspective is crucial.

The term "information" (enformasyon) refers in the broadest sense to a compiled piece of knowledge about a specific and relatively narrow subject. I would like to explain this in a way that I find very important: Consider two people. These two individuals can differ in countless ways (appearance, mental, perspective, emotional, etc.). If we consider these two individuals separately, we can reach data that even we cannot see the ends of. But what if we connect these two people? Then what we will consider is not the individuals themselves but the connection (communication) between them. And from this communication, we can extract data that will lead us to different perspectives about the two. Our nervous system, which entirely affects us, works in the same way. What we need to consider is not the neuron itself but the communication between them. The difference in this communication, how it can change, can be interpreted psychologically and physically. Let's assume we place two people (who have not been affected by anything before) in the middle of the same tragic event. Logically, the event is the same, and the people are the same. However, the symptoms appearing in the two individuals are completely different. We can explain this situation by the fact that the two individuals interpret the event in their own way.

In conclusion, the main reason our emotions affect us physically is the connection we establish and the resulting reaction shown by our body. It is not enough for only those involved in the medical field to know this. If we share this perspective with all people and provide meaning to it, then dealing with what we experience becomes easier. Most importantly, there is the possibility of developing a science based on this perspective. This perspective will propel us forward in every aspect. If we want to survive in this world, we need to try different paths. If one path doesn't work and we keep trying to move forward on that path, it won't take us forward. Because we exist today, and tomorrow we may not. However, this world continues to exist with or without us.
