Quality of AI

People have been researching the human brain and have tried to imitate human intelligence for years. Artificial intelligence means that technological devices such as computers, phones, and algorithms can think or feel like a human. Thus, with the development of AI and products that are produced with AI such as tesla cars and google translate people’s life getting easier from day to day because AI provides uses less human power for machines. Especially, AI has an effective process and a huge benefit in medicine with surgery robots and education with learning applications.

 AI seems to have an obvious effect on medicine in the future. Developing algorithms, and medical applications can be avoided confusion in in-hospital procedures, and developing robots in surgery can make easier that surgeries that take hours. GE projects the healthcare AI market to exceed $6.5 billion by 2021. (Healthcare IT News, Mike Miliard, November 26, 2018) It means that a different health service and prosperity wait for the people in the future. However, it is hard to trust artificial intelligence in medicine because the medical industry has public relations at its core. For example, practically, the patient tells the doctor about all the disorders that the patient has noticed, they discuss them together, and the doctor decides the treatment process. For this reason, it maybe takes years to be reliable system AI by people. On the other hand, when people trust the AI system, confusion in procedures such as losing babies or confusion about deaths can be avoided by developed algorithms and applications. Furthermore, robots in surgery can provide doctors see better with minimal incisions. Likewise, the scanning feature of AI can detect illnesses like cancer faster than doctors. For instance, according to the article ‘’ Healthcare. Education. Hunger. Poverty. Artificial Intelligence Can Solve These Global Problems’’ by Zaynah Bhanji, (January 29) ‘’Doctors can use it to detect whether or not specific drugs would work for patients. It means AI technology can provide save time and money. Also, AI can do all the jobs alone that need a group of people or takes hours.

 Another significant area is education so that AI can be used in the future. Education is the most important need for countries’ development and people need always educate themselves in the world nevertheless, people due to their responsibilities cannot go to school or courses to learn anything that they need, but applications produced with AI technology make it possible to learn everything from distance. For example, Duolingo is a universal application that teaches a variety of languages in the world and people can learn interactively via Duolingo. According to the Duolingo Effectiveness Study (December 2012), ‘’34 hours on Duolingo’s applications are equivalent to a full university semester of language education’’ that means people can gain the time or people can learn all the time. Another feature that AI technology can do is diagnosing students’ capabilities and inabilities. According to Derek Li, founder of Chinese EdTech unicorn Squirrel AI, “In three hours we understand students more than the three years spent by the best teachers” (September 6, 2019). That means also students can be educated considering their abilities. AI can provide eases of learning without a teacher, and surgery without a doctor. Also, owing to AI being always active, people do not have to wait, and everything is faster anymore.

 In conclusion, the quality of AI in medicine and education is highly effective in all aspects. AI technology devices can make people’s life more practical and easier, especially in medicine with surgery robots and education with learning without a teacher. AI can do almost all the things that the human brain can do faster, but obviously, the human brain has a more complicated structure than AI technology. Nevertheless, AI can provide people to do their duty even their jobs. Thus, AI is an effective technology for people's lives.
