5 Tips for Effective Research on Web

5 Tips for Effective Research on Web

1. Use unique, specific terms

The web contains vast and endless information. To find what is sought and achieve the desired result, we must use words that will help us be selective among endless information and customize the subject we are looking for.

2. Use the minus operator (-) to narrow the search

If we find results we do not want when we search the web, we can further narrow our search by using the - sign to indicate that we are not searching for these results and disable them.

3. Use quotation marks for exact phrases

When a sentence is searched or if it needs to contain the exact sentence you are looking for, using quotation marks allows you to search for that sentence as a whole.

4. Don't use common words and punctuation

Customizing advances such as a, and punctuation are often overlooked and may result in different results.

5. The wildcard operator (*)

Google calls it the wildcard operator, and it outputs the word you type, and all the results related to that word.
