VICTORIAN AGE #1

Victorian Age first part: Early Victorian Age or Time of Troubles

I would like to tell you about the Victorian era, which is one of my favorite periods and holds a significant place in English literature.

The Victorian period, as its name suggests, was named after Queen Victoria and began with her ascension to the throne and ended with her death.

This time period, which lasted from 1837 to 1901, saw a lot of attention paid to art and literature, and it's fair to say that it was a totally different era, as it was considered the start of the industrial revolution.

The Victorian period in the British Isles, which was ruled by Queen Victoria and lasted until the nineteenth century, is separated into three distinct periods. The Early Victorian Period, often known as the Time of Troubles, the Middle Victorian Period, and the Late Victorian Period are the three periods.

First and foremost, I'd want to discuss the Early Victorian Period, sometimes known as the Troubled Period. The fact that the industrial revolution was beginning to make its presence felt, rather than literature, was at the forefront throughout this period.

It is easy to notice that the wealthy are becoming even wealthier at a time when the poor are becoming increasingly destitute and living conditions are deteriorating. There have been excellent works created in response to them, and there have even been people who predicted and criticized the Victorian period before it began.

Lord Tennyson, Robert - Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and Matthew Arnold were among the most prominent figures in the world of literature at the period. These poets, who became famous for their poems, expressed their emotions to the world, sometimes with words of love, sometimes with words of rage.

As is common in the area of literature, there are reactions and others who are unconcerned. So, how do the people fare? As the population of the British Isle declined, the aristocrats and the court were unconcerned. The country's authority was eroding day by day, working conditions were deteriorating, and individuals were forced to sell their children due to a lack of money and hunger. This is due to the fact that the globe is entering a new era. The reason for this economic catastrophe is Britain, which has not yet caught up with the industrial revolution at this early stage.

As a result, this time period has been riddled with issues deserving of its moniker. They are, of course, living during the Industrial Revolution, but I will tell you about it in my other piece, the Mid-Victorian Age.
