Winds of Change at Apple: Part 2

In our previous article, we talked about Apple's WWDC24 event. We emphasized that the two main elements of the event were iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence. After listing the new features that come with the iOS 18 operating system, it is necessary to take a closer look at the artificial intelligence platform, which plays the leading role.

Apple's artificial intelligence was introduced under the name Apple Intelligence. A marketing strategy in which the abbreviation AI is used extremely cleverly. Apple Intelligence is personal intelligence beyond artificial intelligence and the next big step for Apple, according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. The keywords are as follows: ‘’Powerful, Intuitive, Integrated, Personal and Private’’. There is a situation of personally working with artificial intelligence with groundbreaking innovations for applications, and operations without constantly waiting for commands. Therefore, artificial intelligence will be able to write something for you and summarize the texts or information in applications for you. Tim Cook promises that we will spend less time on phones regarding this innovation.

Artificial intelligence, which will work integrated with the chip, will be available for iPhone 15 Pro and above models. In addition, data sharing will be collected at one point under the name of ‘’Private Cloud’’ and sensitivity will be shown regarding security. So what is this artificial intelligence truly capable of? Texts in message and e-mail applications are automatically edited. It understands photos and can find any photo you want using specific keywords. It can delete unwanted people or objects in photos, just like the Magic Eraser system previously available from Samsung and Google. AI can also create an image from text. It understands conflicting events and keeps all events encrypted on the device. Personalized and newly created emoji and photos called Genmoji and Image Playground become possible.

Siri will talk to you in a much smarter and interactive way. Siri will sound more like a human voice than a robot voice, creating a more natural conversation environment. With on-screen awareness, Siri will communicate with you with a lighting effect that covers the screen frame. With OpenAI and ChatGPT integration, many commands such as application suggestions, edits, and messages will be more effective. Moreover, no extra fee or new account will be required for this integration. From photo enhancement to trip planning, from text summaries to various suggestions, Siri will transform into a deeper and more realistic subject.

The introduced AI features are undoubtedly the tip of the iceberg. It looks like we're at the beginning of a new chapter for Apple. With the WWDC24 event, Apple regained the title of the most valuable company. The iPhone 16 launch event and other events to be held in the future will be closely followed by the technology world.
