As we all know, Formula 1 is the most known racing series in the whole motorsports world. It's an indisputable fact that millions of people hold their breath watching the races that take place almost every weekend. Besides all of these, it's possible to say that the entire motorsports world is male dominated. Unfortunately, the number of women, who compete in this field, is significantly lower. With the goal to give women more opportunities in motorsports world, F1 established the racing series “F1 Academy” with the undeniable hard work of Susie Wolff, the managing director of F1 Academy.

Formula 1 supports F1 Academy, both financially and morally, a lot. In total, 15 drivers compete against each other in the racing series. Each driver run the races in a Formula 4 car. The series contains seven race weekends, with two races each weekend. By numerous test days and many races, an opportunity to step up to F2 or F3 is given to the drivers with the whole experience they gain during the process.
There are currently five different teams with three drivers each, which compete against each other. Those teams are Rodin Motorsport, MP Motorsport, Campos Racing, ART Grand Prix and Prema Racing. Outside the teams, which drivers race for, almost each driver has a different supporting team, which are known Formula 1 teams such as Alpine, Red Bull Racing, RB, Haas, Sauber, McLaren, Williams, Aston Martin, Mercedes, and Ferrari. Some drivers have already so much potential and achievements with a future in front of them and have many more achievements in store.
F1 Academy and F1 Academy drivers have a substantial fan base, which also contains many young girls. That's one of the points which make the entire establishment even more special because of the encouragement it gives to the girls to follow their dreams no matter what. The managing director Susie Wolff stated several times that the whole organization creates a chance to influence young girls worldwide to never give up.
