Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage

A review about the game that has our favorite blue-head, Hatsune Miku

Among virtual singers called Vocaloids, Hatsune Miku is the most popular one. You may know her from her blue hair or her leek. She already had games dedicated to her like Project Diva. Yet, the newest addition to these games is Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage. It is a rhythm game involving mostly Vocaloid songs. It also has some songs that were produced just for this game.

Gameplay

Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage is a rhythm game. There are different songs with different charts and difficulty levels. The players can buy new songs with in-game currency. Some songs are given with the in-game events. The players can play the game with other players in a co-op match involving 5 people. Some events allow 5v5 gameplay. There is also a 1v1 system where two players play against each other.

Story

The game follows five different storylines involving Miku, the original characters, and 5 other Vocaloids. There are worlds named Sekai in this game. 5 different groups are formed in their respective storylines. This way, the game aims for players to bond with these characters, especially the original ones created for this game. Each group has a different vibe and makes a different type of music. After the main story ends there are events which continue the stories. The players also can get cards from gachas. They also serve the purpose of enhancing storylines.

Gacha

Current Gacha

The game has a gacha system. With every event, there is a new gacha. People can pull the cards of their favorite characters with crystals. Some people hate it and some people love it. For me, I am one of those who have terrible luck. There are 1*,2*,3* and 4* cards of every character. They all have different effects and artwork. Most people pull them because of the artwork. They also unlock some stories and enhance the gameplay.
