The play begins with a separation of two sets of twins because of a ship wreck. And one day, one of the twins, Anthipolus of Syracuse, wants to search for his twin brother in Ephesus where his twin brother Anthipolus of Ephasus is living in here as a wealthy citizen. And also there is also another set of twin brother named Dromio as servants for b0th Anthipolus. When Anthipolus of Syracuse and Anthipolus of Dromio come to Ephesus, everyone mistakes each other for someone else even including spouses, servants , merchants, and polices.

However, every misunderstandings and misidentities come to a solution and all of them reach a happy end. For instances, the mising sets of twins ultimately reach each other. The parents of twin brothers named Anthipolus reunited as a couple. In short, every character in the play gets a happy end by reuniting their beloved ones.


A Shakespearean Play: The Comedy of Errors

In addition to the plot of the story, in the firs place, the play seems like an only a Shakespearean comedy; however, it includes deep meanings under the certain themes like the identity seek. Everyone egt confused about the identities of both Anthipolus. But, even both Anthipolus become unsure of who they are. Just like in the play, in the modern world, people split between the expectations of others and their own identites. Therefore, this theme is still valid and universal.
