Tomorrow: A Korean Drama
A beautiful Korean drama that dwells on heavy subjects.
Tomorrow is a Korean drama that deals with grim reapers who take souls to the other world and grim reapers who tries to save fragile souls. There is an organization in the other world called Jumadeung that process with bureaucracy and with different teams. The drama focuses on the crisis management team which is sort of a paradoxical team that tries to prevent souls from coming to the other world. Since people who commit suicide will not see their soulmates in the other world and will not go to heaven, the head of the Jumadeung put together a crisis management team who saves fragile souls who try to kill themselves.
According to the system of Jumadeung and the other world, people are connected to their soulmates with a red thread. People who end their lives will also cut the red thread that binds them to their soulmates and will not meet them in the other world. The crisis management team finds people with a high percentage of unhappiness thanks to the high technology of Jumadeung and mostly talks the unhappy people out of ending their lives. It is a beautiful Korean drama yet it also can be triggering to people with traumas since the drama treats heavy subjects like harassment and violence. The drama embodies the beautiful message that life is worth living for no matter what and the hard times are temporary.
