Kiki's Delivery Service: Who Actually Is She?
Life is difficult even for a witch. But after all, she who believes in herself will do it perfectly.
Kiki’s Delivery Service, Majo no Takkyūbin, the fantastic fiction genre animation of Hayao Miyazaki in 1989, was adapted from the book of the same name written by Japanese writer Eiko Kadono in 1985. Kiki's Delivery Service, one of Miyazaki's most popular films, is a sincere movie that attracts the audience with its drawings and music, and that people of all ages can enjoy.
I watched this movie when I was little. It was so fascinating that I marveled at this movie. Besides, love for nature in Japanese culture again dominates the entire atmosphere of the movie. Green-dominated scenes are often involved. In fact, this kind of thing allows us to focus more on it and also watch it over and over.
As for the content of this movie with amazing animation, Kiki is a thirteen years old girl. Her mother is a witch, but not her father. Also Kiki, like all the witches who turn thirteen, has to leave home and spend a year alone for self-education. Although she is a novice in magic, Kiki has a very good ability: flying.
Kiki looks for a warm town with an ocean for her purpose. And finally, she finds this town and starts to live out there. Thanks to the town, she meets different people, she learns about life and many things. She shows herself what she is doing with her life. Actually, this serves as a lesson for the audience. She comes from another town and she learns while working there.
It is possible to say that Kiki’s Delivery Service is a Miyazaki movie created literally for me. Kiki’s Delivery Service, as can be understood from his subject, is the subject of a maturity exam that a young girl must overcome.
I hope you can watch this animation as if by magic. Here is the official trailer:
