Run Lola Run As A Classic

Run Lola Run is a film that is directed by Tom Tykwer and released in 1998. It tells the story of a criminal named Manni and his girlfriend Lola. Manni steals from his boss but forgets the money in a subway car.

He has twenty minutes to bring the money back. He calls Lola for help and she starts running through the streets of Berlin to get to him before he makes something bad.

It is a low-budged action film that never stops moving. Endless movement is at the center of the film. We are presented with three different outcomes depending on Lola's encounters throughout the film. This unknown nature of the film makes it a great example of a thriller film. We do not know what will happen if they cannot return the money and these outcomes contribute to the thriller effect even more.

The movie is also a good reminder of the effects we have on the world around us that we do not notice in the dynamism of life. This aspect is clearly shown in Lola's encounters and what happens after her.
