The Summer I Turned Pretty

Hello summer, hello summer TV series! Every year, one TV series becomes the summer hit. And, this is probably the one for this summer.

You are going to understand the story when you watch the trailer, so I am not going to talk about it deeply. I am going to share my thoughts.

We are starting with a cliche. The girl, who was not pretty before, suddenly became so pretty. Isn't puberty labor like this? Most of us can make a transition between pre-puberty and post-puberty. Is this a big deal? I don't know. Not a big deal for me.

Our lovely Isabel, or Bell, has been loving her mother's best friend's eldest son, Conrad, since her childhood. Were we surprised? I guess we didn't. Obviously, she can not tell him that she likes him.

Of course, he is a handsome and active guy. So, he always has a date. Bell wanted to make him jealous and went on a date with a guy named Cam. Shout out to you, dear reader. Never ever do this to the one you like/love. It is a shame.

There is a second brother who is also handsome. I did not forget about Jeremiah. How can I forget about him? He is aware that Bell likes his brother; so does he; but at the end of the day, he gets angry with his own brother and says "I like you" to Bell, and we see a kissing scene between Jeremiah and Bell. Yes, you read it right. They kissed.

Here comes the worst. Bell has never liked Jeremiah romantically and she knows that, but she also knows that she cannot be together with Conrad for some reason. And, Conrad and Bell kissed each other at the end of the first season's last episode, even though Conrad knew his brother and Bell had kind of started to date.

Excuse me, but which universe is that? Because, in my world, this is disgusting. I do not know what you are thinking about, but I didn't like the story. I can not tell you about the actors, but the story... 1/10. Sorry... Not sorry!

P.s there is going to be a second season. Can't wait for it!!!
