Ice Age: Timeless Movies

In 2003, the first Ice Age movie came out. The newest and probably the last Ice Age, 6th movie, came out in 2022. The Ice Age is basically 21 years old. However, this movie is really timeless. Even though I watched all the movies when I was little, I recently watched them again. Then, I thought that no matter how many years pass by, there will be some movies that create the same feeling inside of us.

Even though it is very popular, I will give you the shortest possible summary of the Ice Age. And I know we all watched it in the last week of school terms. In the Ice Age, Manny, Diego, and Sid became friends while trying to deliver a baby to her family. In Ice Age: Meltdown, when Manny thought mammoths were gone, they met Ellie. In Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, they met Buck and fought against dangerous dinosaurs. In Ice Age: Continental Drift, Manny and Ellie's daughter Peaches grew up and the earth divided. In Ice Age: Collision Course, Peaches got engaged, but Manny and Ellie were not super happy about it. Also, they tried to save the world from astreoids. In the sixth, and last movie, Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, we see Buck's life, and it is a spin-off movie.

In this movies, there was a squirrel named Scrat. All those disasters were because of him, because he wanted his acorn. In the movies, this cute squirrel comes out, and we see his struggle to get and keep his acorn. While he tries, he literally demolishes half of the world.

Now that I have given enough information about the movies, I can talk about my thoughts. I believe that these movies are not just for children. You can watch any time, and you can learn and see many things. Movies are great ways to witness experiences. In these movies, I believe there are 3 parts which are impressive. The first one is that, these movies are great teachers for kids! Assuming that many children watch these movies, we can frankly believe that these kids learn many things about animals. For example, they can learn that tigers cannot swim thanks to Diego. These movies are an entertaining way to learn many things about animals. Especially, for the kids, because the love for animals begins when we are little. These warm and adventurous movies can help children sympathize with animals. The second aspect is the information about geographical timelines. As I said, these movies are great teachers. This time, they teach about the world we live in. In order to be kind to our world, we need to learn many things. The last impressive aspect is a bit personal and a Turkish experience. To be honest, I have never watched these movies in English. Ice Age in Turkish is super funny. There are super cute phrases like: Hanım! Hanım! Bunlar benim yavrularım!

These movies teach about love, friendship, respect, and being helpful to one another. They also teach about animals and the geography of our world. And, it mainly shows us what it is like to be a team. A movie series like Ice Age, will always stay timeless. I watched it when I was a child, and I watched it when I was a young adult, and I will watch it when I have children. I hope the warm feeling these movies never leave you.
