After my first two years at 19 Mayıs Anatolian High School, I chose the foreign language section and studied English grammar for two years. Now I am a student at Dokuz Eylül University. My department is American Culture and Literature; the instruction medium is English. My courses include literature, philosophy, history, cinema, theatre, and translation. I have been writing many things since high school, and this was the most important thing when I chose my department. I wrote a book containing two short stories about a detective named Tevfik. Also, my poems got published in different magazines and fanzines.
